Early Childhood Education
Undergraduate Minor in Early Childhood Education
A minor in early childhood education enables students to combine knowledge gained in their major discipline with an understanding of educational practices for young children and their families.
Students complete specialized coursework in topics such as childhood development, advocacy in early childhood, educational psychology, and family and cultural diversity.
The goal of this program is to produce graduates who understand child development and can apply that knowledge when collaborating with other educators in schools and other learning environments, such as preschools and community centers.
